Matcha is a form of green tea thats been used in China and Japan for hundreds of years. Its leaves are made into a powder thats stronger than regular tea. It tends to be sweeter and creamier than regular green tea. The Matcha tea is strong in antioxidants and has been known to lower blood pressure, cholesterol and defend against cancer. Some other benefits are helping with inflammation pain and helping to keep teeth in good shape. Since there is a lot of caffeine, rest assured it will help you be more alert.
Have you wondered what is Matcha?
Matcha is high in a catechin called EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which is believed to have cancer-fighting effects on the body. Studies have linked green tea to a variety of health benefits, like helping to prevent heart disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer, and even encouraging weight loss.
Is Organic Matcha Good For You?
Yes, matcha is good for you especially when it’s organic. Always choose organic! Matcha tea works wonderfully in providing a calming effect on the body. L-theanine, a unique amino acid present in this green tea, possesses anti-anxiolytic properties, which assists in boosting alpha waves in the brain. These alpha waves enhance mood, encourage relaxation, induce a profound feeling of mental clarity, and help achieve an alert state of mind. There about 10 health benefits of matcha tea including helping with weight loss and boosting energy.
Is Matcha An Anti Inflammatory?
The Japanese powdered green tea, matcha, contains high amounts of substances with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It has promising potential health benefits, mainly through a high concentration of catechins. With regular consumption, it may support the body’s efforts to maintain health and prevent disease.
Matcha Is Healthier Than Regular Green Tea

I never thought about substituting my coffee for tea until I read your article. I stumbled upon your site while researching substitutes drinks for breakfast.. I was looking to find out also what different drinks might be recommended instead of coffer and tea popped up. I drink my coffee black and assume you can do the same with tea or is it suggested to add some type of sweetener to the tea?
@ Dwayne Scheer… it is personal preference as to what is a good sweetner for tea but I use honey. Thanks for visiting my site!
Hello there thanks for the review. It was helpful and educative. This actually is a nice tea from the way it looks and I assume it has a lot of healthy benefits. Herbal teas like this are usuall rare to find and cannot just be consumed like every other tea. I think I wouldn’t be a bad idea trying this one out.

Hi there, I have heard about Matcha tea, but I have not yet tried it. It sure looks and sounds as if it has lots of health benefits and the fact that it has many antioxidants, is certainly very beneficial.
I have never thought of putting tea in my yoghurt or to put it in granola, so I will have to give it a try.
LineCowley… thanks for visiting my site! Matcha is very beneficial… you should try it
I have heard so much about matcha and I know how beneficial it is for our health, but I have never tried it. I should get it next time I go shopping. So, if it has lots of caffeine, it is best drunk in the morning, isn’t it? Would it keep me awake at night if I get a late evening matcha tea? I like drinking tea in the evenings – well, all day long, haha, I love tea!
Art of Tea is a very nice company.I have seen some of their products online and I have also visited their website. They seem to have high quality teas. It would be worth exploring 🙂
@Christine…well I think caffeine effects everyone differently but I know matcha tea in the evening would keep me awake at night. Luckily there are many other options from Art of Tea @ https://bit.ly/2Ym8BTG
