How do I thicken my vegan chili?

One way to thicken your vegan chili is to use organic tomato paste as it provides an additional deep rich flavor while thickening the actual chili.

So yummy! I love beyond meat and it’s perfect in this recipe. My 18 year old son really liked it and couldn’t believe it wasn’t real meat!

  2. Thanks for the great article! I think this is a great recipe! I’m not much of a cook myself, but it’s something that I’ve always wanted to learn how to do. It’s also something I kinda HAVE to do to survive, no? I’m not a vegan, so it’ll be interesting to see how this recipe compares to normal chili. I’ll definitely try it out.

  3. Alyse,

This looks great! My husband was recently told by his doctor that he needs to change his diet in the next 6 months. He’s pre-diabetic. It’s odd, cause we normally eat pretty healthy, but over the course of the holidays, he was eating more sweets than I’ve ever seen him eat. Well, it came back to bite him.

So, I’ve been telling him that we need to really buckle down now and start eating more healthy or he’s going to be on meds the next time. He said he wanted to go back on the Atkins, but that’s so bad for people. I told him red meat is really high in fat, and with his cholesterol levels, he’s stuck with chicken I’m afraid. I however, love meat substitutes myself. Much healthier for you then actual red meat and it tastes just like it to me.

I may have to sneak this recipe in one night, and he’ll never know the difference! Thanks for this one! I love it!
